Rainer Bleek
Rainer Bleek (born September 24, 1954 in Remscheid ) is a German local politician of the SPD . He has been the full-time mayor of the city of Wermelskirchen since 2015 .
Rainer Bleek grew up in Pohlhausen , a district of Wermelskirchen. The graduate social scientist ( Bergische Universität Wuppertal ) was division manager of a health insurance company in Bergisch Gladbach .
From 1989 Rainer Bleek was a member of the district council in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis and from 2004 a member of the city council of Wermelskirchen.
Bleek is widowed by his fourth marriage and has four sons. In the runoff election on September 27, 2015, he was elected Mayor of Wermelskirchen with 57.32 percent of the votes cast.
