Rainer Braun (sports journalist)

Rainer Braun (born November 14, 1940 ) is a former German sports journalist, track announcer, motorsport commentator and amateur racing driver. In the 1990s he commented on races in the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) , a. a. on 3Sat .

Life

Rainer Braun was an amateur racing driver in various racing series from 1965 to 1973. Between 1968 and 1974 he drove in Formula Vee for the "Winkler Racing Team" with a Kaimann racing car . In addition to the main driver Jochen Mass , he alternates with the racing driver Manfred Jantke in the team's second racing car.

Publications

Since 1998, Rainer Braun has also been the author of eight books , all of which have become bestsellers .

Together with Ferdi Kräling, Braun published a special volume in 2000 with the title “Snapshots - A journey through 75 years of Ford Motorsport in Germany”. In addition, he published a book with the title “Hello Classic Paddock - Nostalgic Stories from the World of Automobile Sports”. In this series, Braun also published another volume ("Hallo Paddock 2") as well as a collector's edition that includes both volumes ("Hallo Paddock Classic - Edition 500").
