Rainer Buchert

Rainer Buchert (born August 31, 1947 in Mörfelden ) is a lawyer in Frankfurt am Main and ombudsman against corruption. From 1993 to 1999 he was police chief of the city and district of Offenbach am Main .

Life

Rainer Buchert studied law and political science at the JW Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main from 1968 to 1973 and received his doctorate in 1975 with a work under Friedrich Geerds that was particularly distinguished by the Hiltrup Police Management Academy.

From 1977 to 1991 he worked in various managerial positions at the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) Wiesbaden , most recently as criminal director. This was followed by a two-year job as a state criminal investigation director and head of the criminal police in Saxony-Anhalt . Buchert was then appointed police president of the city and district of Offenbach. In 1999 he turned down the post of Police Vice President in Berlin and founded a law firm specializing in white-collar crime in Frankfurt am Main , which has grown to include four lawyers. Rainer Buchert is mandated by numerous companies as an ombudsman against corruption. He is also a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management .

He is married and has three children.
