Rainer Hüttemann

Rainer Hüttemann (* 1963 in Recklinghausen ) is a German law scholar and professor at the University of Bonn .

Life and work

Rainer Hüttemann began at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn both law and economics to study. He was a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation . In 1989 he passed his first state examination. A year later he was at Brigitte Knobbe-Keuk with a tax dissertation Dr. iur. PhD . This was followed by a legal clerkship at the Cologne Higher Regional Court until 1993 . In addition, Hüttemann completed his economics studies in 1991 with a degree in economics .

In 1993 Rainer Hüttemann became a research assistant to Brigitte Knobbe-Keuk at the Institute for Tax Law at the University of Bonn. There habilitated to Hüttemann in 1998. He then worked from 1998 to 2004 full professor at the University of Osnabrück , where from 2001 to 2002 the dean of the faculty. In 2004 Rainer Hüttemann was appointed to the University of Bonn to succeed Karsten Schmidt . Since then he has also been the managing director of the Institute for Tax Law in Bonn .

Rainer Hüttemann has been the dean of the law and political science faculty since 2014.
