Rainer König (transport scientist)

Rainer König (born June 3, 1958 in Elgersburg ) is a German transport scientist and professor for rail transport, public urban and regional transport at the “Friedrich List” faculty at the TU Dresden .

Life

From 1980 to 1985 Rainer König studied transport technology at the Friedrich List University of Transport in Dresden . He then worked as a research assistant at the university until 1991, where he obtained his doctorate in 1989 on the subject of “methodological principles for adapting the most important design data of agricultural aircraft to a given task” and completed an education in university education in 1990. He then worked as a consultant in logistics and management from 1991 to 2000 . In 2000 he was appointed professor for rail transport, public city and regional transport at the TU Dresden. He took over the chair from Siegfried Rüger , who had retired in the same year.
