Rainer Michaelis

Rainer Michaelis (born September 21, 1952 in Münster ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

education and profession

Rainer Michaelis passed his Abitur in 1971. Subsequently, until 1975 he took a teaching degree in German and history for teaching at secondary schools at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . He passed the 1st and 2nd state exams in 1975 and 1977. He was then a vocational school teacher until 1979, from 1979 to 1994 a secondary school teacher and from 1994 a comprehensive school teacher.

Rainer Michaelis has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 1983. In his party he was from 1983 to 1985 board member of the local club Lüdinghausen. From 1985 to 1986 member of the board of the Coesfeld district association. He also acted from 1995 to 1999 as spokesman for the district executive in the Coesfeld district of the Greens. He was a member of the Coesfeld district council in 1989 and 1993 to 1994. He was a member of the council of the city of Lüdinghausen from 1984 to 1998, 1985 to 1998 also as parliamentary group leader of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen.

Rainer Michaelis was a member of the 12th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from January 4, 1999 to June 1, 2000, to which he moved.

He is head of the community school project group in the NRW Ministry of Education .
