Rainer Pezolt
Rainer Pezolt (born August 16, 1957 in Bad Rodach ) is a German composer . He lives and works in Bad Rodach.
Life
From 1977 to 1979 Pezolt studied piano and composition at the Academy of Music in Nuremberg with Hans-Ludwig Schilling , and then continued his composition studies with Bertold Hummel at the University of Music in Würzburg until 1985 . Since then he has worked as a freelance composer, arranger and music teacher. From 1989 to 2003 he was director of two music schools and a critic of the newspaper Neue Presse Coburg.
Pezolt has received prizes in numerous composition competitions. The musicologist Susanne Farwick particularly emphasizes his composition Lied for flute solo, which represents a “successful combination of flute playing and literary model”.
