Rainer Schubert (philosopher)

Rainer Schubert (* 1948 in Vienna ) is an Austrian philosopher .

Life

After graduating from high school in Vienna in 1966, he studied psychology, philosophy and logistics in his hometown (1967–1977). With the thesis, Heidegger and the problem of technology , it was in 1977 at the University of Vienna Dr. phil. PhD . In adult education, he was a course instructor in philosophy from 1978 to 1994. At the Alma Mater Rudolphina Vindobonensis , he taught as a research and contract assistant at the Institute of Philosophy (1979–1989), lecturer for ancient epistemology (1982–1983) and lecturer for epistemology (1992–1993). From 1994 to 1999 he was a lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Timişoara . As a cultural attaché at the Austrian Embassy in Bucharest , he was also head of the Austrian Cultural Forum in Bucharest. Meanwhile, he gave guest lectures at the University of Bucharest . At the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj , he was a university professor of philosophy from 2007 to 2009. Since 2011 he has been teaching as a professor at the University of Heiligenkreuz .
