Rainer Schumann (born May 5, 1964 in Hanover ) is a German drummer and was a member of the rock band Fury in the Slaughterhouse until its dissolution in 2008 .

Life

In 1986 Schumann founded the rock band Fury in the Slaughterhouse with the brothers Kai and Thorsten Wingenfelder , Christof Stein-Schneider and Hannes Schäfer , which disbanded in 2008. In 2013 the band gave another concert at the Expo Plaza in Hanover in front of 25,000 spectators.

In 2013 Schumann released the album "Sunshine, Love, Music and Football" under the same name. The SCHUMANN-BAND formed in 2014 and played several concerts.

Together with two of his former bandmates, Schumann formed the backing band for Kuersche , a singer / songwriter from Hanover. From 2011 to 2012 Rainer Schumann gives drum seminars in schools as part of lectures on the subject of addiction prevention.

Schumann is the initiator of the project "KLANG & LEBEN", a project for the musical and rhythmic accompaniment of people with dementia.
