The forage plants of the caterpillars in summer include the yarrow ( Achillea ), wild flowers ( Tanacetum ), dog chamomiles ( Anthemis ) and santolina ( Santolina ). The caterpillars of the autumn season feed mainly on plants of the genus Artemisia . The butterfly species overwinters as a pupa.
