The von Raitenbach family was a Frankish and Vogtland noble family .

Origin and Distribution

The family appeared in 1252 as noblemen on Erkersreuth . It was only when the line in Erkersreuth was extinguished in 1691 that the von Lindenfels line followed . The family was related to the von Neuberg and Haslau family . As part of the imperial free knighthood, they were organized in the knightly canton of Gebürg . Sexes directly related by marriage were e.g. B. the von Lüchau or the Rabensteiner zu Döhlau .

Lupold von Raitenbach and Heinrich von Raitenbach got into high positions of the Teutonic Order in East Prussia.

The coat of arms shows a curved tip , the coloring is divided into red and silver and the base in the other color. The crest is crowned and shows a golden bundle. The helmet covers are also red and silver again.
