Rajan Sankaran (born May 24, 1960 in Mumbai , Maharashtra ) is an Indian homeopath .

biography

Sankaran studied medicine with a focus on homeopathy at the Bombay Homeopathic Medical College. His father was already a homeopathic doctor in Mumbai. He developed a structure for the materia medica as well as an IT program for case analysis. He holds homeopathic seminars and lectures worldwide and has authored a number of books on the subject of homeopathy. Sankaran is vice-chairman of the International Council for Classical Homeopathy and editor of the Asian edition of the journal Homeopathic Links . He founded a homeopathic method, which is often named after him: "new method" or "method according to Sankaran".

Homeopathy according to Sankaran

In homeopathy, a comprehensive survey ( anamnesis ) of the patient is common, in which the individual symptoms are determined and weighted. The attempt is made to understand the patient as a whole and to correct the disturbance in his balance. With many diseases, however, this anamnesis quickly reaches its limits. Particularly in the case of mental problems, such as anxiety states , neuroses, etc., it is often difficult for the patient to name specific symptoms, so that the clinical picture remains blurred.

Rajan Sankaran has developed a method in which the patient describes his suffering in images, metaphors on the emotional level. This also includes the description of his feelings, his dreams, the perception of his environment. In this way, an image of the patient is to be obtained, which shows a pattern in his life. This pattern could be disturbed or, as a pattern, it could hinder the patient or make him sick. By addressing this pattern in treatment, the patient as a whole is treated better than by focusing on symptoms. The perceptions and symptoms described in pictures are classically repertorated - or homeopaths who know the homeopathic remedies well are asked when taking the anamnesis until the remedy is recognized.
