Rajarhat Gopalpur ( Bengali : রাজারহাট গোপালপুর), also Rajarhat , was a city in the Indian state of West Bengal with around 402,844 inhabitants (2011 census). The city has been part of the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation since 2015 . It belongs to the Uttar 24 Pargana district and is part of the Calcutta metropolitan area with over 14 million inhabitants.

The strong increase in the urban population is mainly due to the immigration of families from rural regions. Due to the city's favorable location near Calcutta, the annual population growth between 2001 and 2011 was just under 4 percent.
