Ralf Diegel
Ralf Diegel (born December 1, 1963 in Frechen ) is a German swimmer and Olympic participant. The 1.84 m tall and 76 kg heavy athlete started for the SSF Bonn .
He won the German championship over 400 m medley in 1983 , 1984 and 1986 . There is also a runner-up in the 200 m individual medley in 1986.
In 1984 he took part in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles .
- Over 200 m individual medley he came in 8th place in 2: 06.66 minutes (gold went to Canadian Alex Baumann , who swam the world record in 2: 01.42 minutes).
- In the 400 m individual medley, he just barely missed the finals in ninth place. In the B final he was fourth in 4: 28.94 minutes.
Today Diegel is a member of the board of directors of SV Frechen . He is a tax advisor by profession .
