Ralf Rummer

Ralf Rummer (* 1962 ) is a German psychologist .

Life

He studied psychology. He received his doctorate in 1995 from the University of Mannheim and in 2003 he completed his habilitation at the University of Saarland . From 2008 to 2018 he taught as a professor for general psychology and instructional psychology at the University of Erfurt . Since March 2018 he has been head of the Department of General Psychology at the University of Kassel .

His research interests are applied cognitive psychology (e.g. desirable difficulties in learning, learning with multimedia), psycholinguistics (e.g. sentence retention, sound symbolism) and memory psychology (e.g. verbal working memory).
