Ralph Walter

Ralph Walter (born April 2, 1948 ) is a local researcher in Oedheim ( Heilbronn district ), who has appeared through his research and publications on the local history of Oedheim .

Career

Ralph Walter was a teacher or main teacher from 1969 to 1995, and from 1995 to his retirement in 2012, the deputy principal of the Kochertal School in Oedheim. From 1994 to 2004 he was a councilor in the same municipality.

Since 2013 Walter has been the owner and operator of “RalphsRetroSchau”, a mixture of local history museum, gallery and archive, as well as communication and presentation center, which focuses on the local history of Oedheim and which is run by him on his own initiative and on a private basis.

He is currently doing research on the subject of "Paulus Baumann von Oedheim" - how does a middle-class Oedheimer get to become a court secretary in Heidelberg in the 15th century?

  • May 1978–1995: freelancer and journalist for the regional newspaper " Heilbronner Voice " with numerous articles and publications on the main topic of Oedheim
  • 1987: Publication of the brochure "20 Years of Oedheim High School - Chronicle of the Oedheimer Kochertal School"
  • 1985: Overall editing with numerous contributions of the book "750 Years Oedheim"
  • 1985: Publication of the illustrated book "Greetings from Oedheim"
  • 1990: Festschrift "100 Years of the Oedheim Trade Association"
  • 1991: Festschrift "125 Years of the Oedheim Volunteer Fire Brigade"
  • 1997: Publication and overall editing of the book " Bautzen-Schloss Oedheim - History and Stories" together with Hans-Dieter Fischer and Josef Heim
  • since 2013: editorial work on the magazine “Bautzenblättle” and “Schönberg aktuell”, the house newspaper of the Schönberg care services with regular local historical articles
  • 2017: Publication of the book "Oedheimische Dorf- und Doofgeschichten"
