Ramón Duvalón

Ramón Duvalón (born August 31, 1954 ) is a retired Cuban boxer .

Duvalón was Cuban champion in 1974, 1975 and 1976 in flyweight (-51 kg).

In 1974 Duvalón won the silver medal at the Central American and Caribbean Championships in Caracas . The following year he won the gold medal at the Pan American Games in Mexico City . At the 1976 Olympic Games , Duvalón achieved after victories over Souley Hancaradu, Nigeria ( where ), Toshinori Koga, Japan (5-0), Ian Clyde, Canada (5-0), and David Torosyan, Soviet Union (DQ 2nd), the Final. In this he faced the American Leo Randolph , to whom he was defeated with a 3-2 judge's vote.
