The Ramal de Cáceres , in English "branch line from Cáceres", was a Portuguese railway line between Torre das Vargens on the Linha do Leste with the station of Marvão - Beirã with a total length of 81.5 km. The railway line was mainly relevant for border traffic to Spain, the border station was near Valencia de Alcántara.
Due to a lack of passengers and the dire budget situation in Portugal, the state railway company stopped regional traffic on the route in 2011. Until recently, the Lusitania night train ran on the route, which has been running on the Linha da Beira Alta since the railway line was completely closed on August 15, 2012 .
