Ramiz Guliyev (born April 30, 1947 in Ağdam ) is an Azerbaijani tarplayer and music teacher.

Gilyev attended the music school in his hometown and studied at the National Conservatory in Baku. From 1964 to 1994 he was a soloist with the Azerbaijani State Philharmonic and the State Concert Society. In addition to classical Mughammusik , his repertoire also includes works by contemporary Azerbaijani composers, as well as arrangements of works by European composers for the Tar. Mstislav Rostropovich praised him as the "Paganini of the East".

Guliyev taught folk musical instruments at the National Conservatory in Baku and from 1974 held a professorship in this subject. From 1990 to 2000 he headed the folk music department of the conservatory. His most famous student is the tar player Malik Mansurov . Internationally, he had successes at the International Folklore Festival organized by UNESCO in the USA in 1988 and at the Azerbaijani Culture Days in London in 1998. Since the mid-1990s he has also performed in a duo with his son Ayyub Gulijev . In Azerbaijan he was honored with the title of People's Artist, and in 2007 he received a Medal of Honor.
