Rances Barthelemy
Rances Barthelemy (* 25. June 1986 in Arroyo Naranjo , Cuba ) is a Cuban boxer in the super featherweight and left arm . He is trained by Orlando Cuellar and is currently undefeated.
amateur
He completed around 200 amateur fights and was, among other things, Cuban junior champion.
professional
On January 1, 2014 he competed against the Dominican Algenis Mendez for the IBF world championship title. The fight ended in a "No Concest" (no rating). The direct rematch took place in June of the same year. This time Barthelemy won by a unanimous decision and was thus world champion.
On October 4th of the same year he defended the title against the Argentine Fernando David Saucedo clearly and unanimously on points - all three judges rated the fight 120: 108.
Barthelemy soon announced that he was switching from super feather to lightweight .
