Ranger is an amusement ride that was originally designed and built by Huss Rides . The ride basically only consists of rollover, the first ride of this kind was put into operation for the first time in 1980. In addition to the original version of Huss Rides, there are numerous variants from other manufacturers.

construction

The original Ranger was built by Huss Rides in Bremen . The ride was designed as a transportable attraction so that it can also be used for public festivals . Ranger has a gondola that can accommodate 40 people. This gondola is attached to an arm with a counterweight on the other side, similar to the Top Spin from the same company. In the meantime, the ride is no longer produced and therefore no longer offered for sale.

Other manufacturers

Fabbri

  • Kamikaze is also called Ranger by the manufacturer - the Fabbri Group - and has a gondola arm on each side of the ride. The closed gondolas have a total capacity of 32 people. The height of this ride is 18.5 meters.
  • Like Kamikaze, Pandemonium has a gondola arm on each side. However, the 25-meter-high ride has bottomless gondolas that have a total capacity of 64 people.
  • Cataclysm , like the other versions from Fabbri, has two gondola arms and, like Pandemonium, bottomless gondolas. There are always two people sitting next to each other in each row, resulting in a capacity of 40 people per trip.

Intamin

  • Suspended Twin Hammer , the first delivery from Intamin , is almost identical to the Cataclysm from Fabbri. The two arms of the gondola offer space for a total of 32 people.
  • Looping Starship comes very close to the original version of Ranger by Huss. The difference is the structure, since the 14.6 meter high Looping Starship is more like a conventional ship swing and therefore does not have a single gondola arm.

Weber

  • Traumboot is a 20 meter high version of the ride from the manufacturer Weber from Bremen , which has a gondola arm. The gondola has a capacity of 40 people. The construction of the dream boat is very similar to the Ranger von Huss.
