The Rantberge are a mountain range in Namibia and belong to the Great Peripheral Stage . They are located east of the Namib , around 20 km east of Solitaire . The Rantberge can be crossed from east to west via the Spreetshoogte pass ( 1676 m ), one of the steepest mountain passes in Namibia with a gradient of up to 22% .
The Naukluft Mountains connect to the south of the Rantberge and the so-called goat back to the north.
