Raoul Blanc (born August 28, 1905 in Marseille , † July 22, 1985 ibid) was a French football player .

Career

Blanc began his career as a youth at the southern French club Olympique Marseille , for which he was on the field from 1922; At that time this was an amateur club due to the lack of a professional league. Nevertheless, the player was used in the midfield of a team that had successes at national level in the following years, starting with reaching the Cup final in 1924 . Blanc was one of the eleven players who beat FC Cette 3-2 after extra time and thus secured the first title of his career.

In 1926 he was able to win the national cup for the second time in his career thanks to a 4-1 success against AS Valentigney , in which he was again on the field. In 1927 he repeated the team this success, but Blanc himself was not allowed to participate in the final again that year. He then remained loyal to Marseille and as a result counted in the 1932/33 season to the team that should compete for the club in the newly founded professional league Division 1 . However, he had the role of a substitute within the team and did not take part in the start of the French top division in September 1932. On November 20, 1932, he made his debut in a 2-2 draw against EAC Roubaix in the first division, even if this was his only game in professional football.
