Raphael Bob-Waksberg

Raphael Matthew Bob-Waksberg (born August 17, 1984 in San Mateo , California ) is an American screenwriter , television producer and voice actor . He is the inventor of Netflix - animated series BoJack Horseman .

Life

Bob-Waksberg was born in San Mateo . He comes from a Jewish family and has two sisters. They grew up with me in Palo Alto . Bob-Walksberg has ADHD and did poorly in high school, but it was through participating in theatrical productions that he met illustrator Lisa Hanawalt . Hanawalt's drawings inspired him to create BoJack Horseman , and she became the series' production designer and producer.

His animated series BoJack Horseman was released on Netflix in 2014 and ended after 6 seasons in January 2020. He received his first Emmy nomination for the series in 2019 . In the same year, Bob Walkberg was executive producer on the Netflix animated series Tuca & Bertie , which was developed by Lisa Hanawalt. His new animation series Undone was also released on Prime Video in 2019 .
