Tuca & Bertie is an American animation series from the video-on-demand provider Netflix . The series was created by Lisa Hanawalt , a producer on BoJack Horseman , and has been available on Netflix since May 3, 2019. In the original version, Tiffany Haddish and Ali Wong speak the two main characters.
In July 2019, Netflix announced the discontinuation after a season. A second season will appear on Adult Swim in 2021 .

In February 2018 it was announced that Netflix had commissioned a new series with ten episodes. The series was created by Lisa Hanawalt , who is executive producer alongside Raphael Bob-Waksberg and Tiffany Haddish . The series is produced by The Tornante Company and ShadowMachine , who also produce BoJack Horseman .
It is recommended for viewers aged 12 and over. In July 2019, Netflix announced that the series would be discontinued after a season. In May 2020 it was announced that Adult Swim had ordered a new season, which should appear in 2021.
