Ali Wong
Ali Wong (born April 19, 1982 in San Francisco , California ) is an American actress and stand-up comedian .
Life
Wong is the youngest of four siblings. She was born in Pacific Heights , one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in San Francisco . Her father is a Sino-American anesthetist ; her mother came to the United States in 1960 from Hue, Vietnam . She is married to Justin Hakuta and has two daughters.
In 2000, Wong graduated from San Francisco University High School . She graduated with honors from UCLA in Asia-American Studies .
Wong began her career as a stand-up comedian in San Francisco. In 2011 she was mentioned in Variety magazine's list of “10 Comics to Watch” because of her good appearances . Since 2011 she has also appeared increasingly in television and film productions. In 2012 she got one of the leading roles in Are You There, Chelsea? which, however, was discontinued after a season due to poor audience ratings. In 2014 she played a role in the television series Black Box .
