Breaking In is an American television series broadcast by Fox , which aired from April 6, 2011 to April 3, 2012. After the series was canceled by Fox in May 2011, Fox announced the extension for a second season in July 2011. The final cancellation came after five broadcast episodes of the second season.

The series takes place in the small company "Contra Security". They actually concentrate on the security systems business . You look for errors in the system and then sell your own products, which are often somewhat questionable.

In October 2009, gave Fox known Adam F. Goldberg to have commissioned to produce a script for a comedy series. The pilot for the series was ordered in January 2010 and casting began in February. Bret Harrison was the first to join the cast of the series, which at the time was still trading under the title Titan Team . In March, Alphonso McAuley was signed for the pilot episode. At that point, the title of the series was Security . A few weeks later, Odette Annable . With the engagement of Christian Slater and Trevor Morre , the casting for the pilot episode ended.
In June 2010, Fox ordered two more scripts for the pilot episode, now titled Breaking In , because the first one hadn't convinced. In November 2010, Fox ordered the first season of the series in the form of seven episodes. The shooting of the other six episodes took place from February 2011 in Los Angeles .
In May 2011, Fox discontinued the series after the first season. However, Deadline.com announced two days later that Sony Pictures Television was in negotiations for a second season. A few weeks later it was announced that the actors' contracts had been extended to mid-November 2011. A month later, the extension of the series by a 13-part second season became known. In November, the actress Megan Mullally was hired as part of the revision of the series concept. A short time later it was announced that Odette Annable and Michael Rosenbaum would no longer be part of the main cast in the second season.
On April 11, 2012, after only five episodes of the second season aired, Fox discontinued the series. The station replaced the slot with repeats of New Girl .

The first episode of the series aired on April 6, 2011, following an episode of American Idol . The remaining six episodes followed in the weeks that followed. The second season premiered on March 6, 2012 after a new episode of the sitcom New Girl , but the series was withdrawn from the program after the fifth episode due to poor audience ratings. The remaining eight episodes were first broadcast in Portugal .

The first season of the series was broadcast on June 2 and June 9, 2013 on ProSieben Fun . The second season followed from June 9 to June 30, 2013. In September 2013, ProSieben shows the first six episodes of the first season and episode 1 of the second season of the series for the first time on German free TV in its night program .
