Matt Shakman

Matt Shakman (born August 8, 1975 in Ventura , California ) is an American film and television director and former actor .

life and career

Matt Shakman grew up in his native Ventura . He attended the Thacher School in Ojai and then studied art history and theater studies at Yale University .

As a child actor, he worked in the television series An Angel on Earth , Harry's Wondrous Criminal Court and Chaos to the power of ten . Along with the rest of the cast of Chaos hoch ten , he was nominated for the 1989 Youth In Film Award in the category Outstanding Cast in a TV Series.

Since the early 2000s, Shakman has been involved primarily as a director on various television series. He directed episodes from Everwood , Brothers & Sisters , Ugly Betty , Dr. House , Psych , Good Wife and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia . In 2014 he directed a feature film for the first time with the thriller Cut Bank - Small murders among neighbors .

From 2009 to 2012, he was involved in various positions on the It's Always Sunny series in Philadelphia , and even as a television producer during the first season .
