Raphael Golta

Raphael Golta (born November 17, 1975 ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ). He has been a member of the Zurich City Council since 2014 .

biography

Raphael Golta attended the Hohe Promenade canton school in Zurich between 1988 and 1994 and graduated with a type B Matura (with Latin ). Then he studied from 1995 to 1997 at the University of Zurich Economics . He then switched to studying communications , computer science and economics . He finished his studies with a licentiate in 2002.

After completing his studies, he worked for five years at the Institute for Mass Communication and Media Research at the University of Zurich (IPMZ) in the Department of Media Economics and Media Management. During this employment he became a partner and managing director of presstrends GmbH in 2004 . From 2009 to 2013 he was Account Manager at MCI Zurich . From 2012 until his election to the city council, he was a software developer at Fabware GmbH in Technopark Zurich .

Political activity

In 1994 he became a member of the board of the SP section of Zurich City District 7 and became co-president in 1998. In 2001 he left the board of the section. From 1998 to 2004 he was on the board of the SP City of Zurich. In May 2003 he was elected to the Zurich Cantonal Council and took a seat on the Finance and Economic Commission. He has been on the board of the cantonal party since 2010. On February 9, 2014, Golta was elected to the city council (executive) of the city of Zurich in a general election. Since then he has been the head of the social department.
