Raphael Mürle

Raphael Mürle (born October 31, 1960 in Pforzheim ) is a German puppeteer and founder of a puppet theater .

Life

Raphael Mürle was born in Pforzheim in 1960. From 1983 to 1987 he studied at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart in the department of puppet theater, among others with Albrecht Roser . He graduated in 1987 as a qualified puppeteer. Since 1987 he has been running his own gaming facility in Pforzheim-Brötzingen with regular gaming operations.

From 1987 to 2018, 18 evening productions, 6 children's plays and 5 short programs as well as directing work for puppet theaters in Germany and Switzerland were created.

Raphael Mürle is the initiator and organizer of the International Street Theater Festival with Figures in Pforzheim. In addition, a guest performance, among others in Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Croatia, Austria, Poland, Scotland, Switzerland and Spain takes up a large part of his work.

Raphael Mürle is also a lecturer at the Puppet Theater School in Stuttgart, the Puppet Theater College in Bochum and at the Hof Lebherz Educational Center in Warmsen.

Awards

  • 1983 winner of the cabaret "TERPSI" with "Scenes with Marionettes".
  • 1988 scholarship from the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation .
  • 2005 Award for his production “Cocktails” at the Festival for Solo Puppeteers in Lodz, Poland
  • 2014 Special jury award for the Gottschalk / Mürle / Soehnle trio with the production of “Wunderkammer” at the International Puppet Theater Festival in Bielsko-Biała , Poland
