Rappach (Heilbronn)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rappach is a presumed lost place in the area of today's Heilbronn in northern Baden-Württemberg . The current field name Rampacher Tal and the street name Rampachertal could indicate the desertification of the area.

Surname

The side valley of the Pfühlbach about two kilometers east of Heilbronn town center is mentioned in 1331 and 1381 as the Rapotental , and in 1476 as the Rapacher Tal . From 1503 until the 19th century it was then called Rappacher Tal , only then was the current name Rampacher Tal formed.

The name of the corridor is interpreted as the valley of the Ratpot . The possible presence of a settlement is derived from this reference to a personal name.
