The Rastlebener See is located in the east of the Liensfeld village in the municipality of Bosau in the Ostholstein district in Schleswig-Holstein in the hilly moraine landscape of Holstein Switzerland and is drained eastwards through the Liensfelder Au towards the Klenzauer See .

The lake is rather small with a size of around one hectare - it has a square shape and is around 100 meters wide and long. The water is under nature protection and is neither fished nor fished.
