Town hall castle on Fehmarn
The town hall Burg auf Fehmarn was built in 1901 for the town of Burg auf Fehmarn instead of the late medieval town hall from 1520.
The architect was Carl Voss from Kiel , the total construction cost was 85,000 marks . The town hall was built as a solitaire on the oval, about 200 m long and 70 m wide Burger Marktplatz in clinker construction. It housed the administrative offices of the city, the prison and the apartments of the mayor and police sergeant, and a small farm yard served as a prison yard.
The building is included in the list of monuments of the Ostholstein district .
