The Rauna is a left-hand tributary of the Gauja in Latvia .

The river rises on the Livonian ridge from Lake Slutaisis and initially runs in a valley with steep banks. Above the village of Rauna is Raunas Staburags , a moss-covered spring wall. In the further course the river becomes flatter with bank heights of 3 to 5 meters. Due to the work of beavers , many fallen trees prevent boats from entering.

The largest tributaries are Raunis (22 km) and Vaive (18 km).
