Ravager is a thrash metal band from Walsrode , Lower Saxony , that was founded at the end of 2014.

history

Marcel Lehr began to be interested in heavy metal when he was just 13 years old and soon started playing electric guitar himself . He gained experience in a band that also included bassist André Sawade. Later, no longer involved in this group and looking for a new field of activity, he met the guitarist Dario Rosenberg, who was also not in any band. He suggested that they start their own band together. So they put together Ravager at the end of 2014. Each of the two recruited a former colleague from bygone days: Lehr brought in Sawade and Rosenberg brought in the singer Philip Herbst. The four motivated musicians quickly found a suitable rehearsal room and began to write their first songs, but the search for a drummer turned out to be difficult. Driven by the emergency and out of a long-standing interest, Sawade decided to take over the post of drummer. The resulting gap on the bass could be filled by a further change of instrument, this time by a new member. Justus Mahler did indeed master both instruments, but preferred the guitar and only allowed himself to be persuaded to play the bass after lengthy discussions.

Finally complete, the band played their first local concerts and began to record the 4-track EP Alarm Clock Terror at the end of 2015 , in which Lehr has the main songwriting part and which was released on March 12, 2016 on their own. Then the band expanded their concert activities and also played for the first time abroad, in Luxembourg . In February 2017, the music video for the song Dr. Mad , which was produced by Maurice Swinkels. Their first album Eradicate ... Annihilate ... Exterminate ... was released on February 17th, 2017 via Iron Shield Records .
