Raymond Eller Kirk

Raymond Eller Kirk (born June 24, 1890 in Hamilton County, Nebraska , † 1957 ) was an American chemist.

He was a professor of inorganic chemistry at the University of Minnesota . He later served as dean of the Graduate School at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn , where he headed the chemistry faculty. With the professor of chemical engineering there, Donald F. Othmer , he edited the multi-volume standard work Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology from 1947 .

Among other things, he dealt with cement production.
