Raymond Sabouraud

Raymond Sabouraud (born November 24, 1864 in Nantes , † February 4, 1938 in Paris ) was a French dermatologist and mycologist . He was also artistically successful as a painter and sculptor.

Sabouraud ran a well-known dermatological clinic. He developed the Sabouraud agar, later named after him, for the cultivation of mushrooms.
