Raymond Thompson Hill
Raymond Thompson Hill (born January 11, 1883 in North Branford , † 1956 ) was an American Romanist , Provençalist , Lusitanist and Medievalist .
life and work
Hill received his PhD from Yale University with the thesis (Ed.) La mule sanz frain. An Arthurian romance by Païens de Maisières (Baltimore 1911). He taught there as an instructor for French (1908–1916), as an assistant professor (1916–1927) and as an associate professor (1927–1949). From 1949 to 1952 he was library manager.
