Raymond Vernon

Raymond Vernon (born 1913 in New York City ; † August 26, 1999 in the USA) was an economist , Clarence Dillon Professor at Harvard University , member of the Marshall Plan team , founding member of the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management and pioneer of the development of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT).

In 1964 he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
