Razorback (cliff)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Razorback (front)

The Razorback is a narrow cliff in Victoria on the Great Ocean Road , southwest of Princetown . It rises steeply from the sea and is one of the tourist attractions of the Great Ocean Road .

The steep limestone cliff in Port Campbell National Park can be viewed from an observation deck at Loch Ard Gorge . It is one of the many tourist attractions that can be reached either via the Great Ocean Road or the Great Ocean Walk . It was formed by the influence of erosion , by the action of waves and wind, which carried away the rock surrounding it. The exposed horizontal rock deposits and crevices at the beginning and end of the rock are clearly visible.

On the other side of the Razorback is the Pudding Rock . Razorback is not far from Loch Ard Gorge , where the Iceland Archway collapsed in June 2009. Something similar threatens this cliff in the course of time.
