RbT Regiobahn Thuringia

The RBT Regiobahn Thüringen GmbH is a non-State-owned railway infrastructure companies (EIU), headquartered in Vacha . The RbT operates several railway lines in Thuringia .

As of 2004, the DB Netz AG , the railway Hohenebra-Ebeleben decommission wanted, which took over municipal infrastructure company Ebelebener network infrastructure and RBT operation thereof. In the meantime, RbT is also the owner of the railway lines around Ebeleben .

Since 2009 there has been a lease agreement for the then disused Bad Salzungen – Vacha railway line. A first customer could be won with a woodworks in Dorndorf and after the start of the loading of wood on the free route a separate connection was built in the meantime through subsidies. At the end of 2015, after a bidding process, RbT also became the owner of the Bad Salzungen – Unterbreizbach railway line. In 2018, another customer for the Vacha location was found with VTG AG .
