Readers Choice Award

The Readers Choice Award , formerly titled " Ellery Queen Readers' Award" (not to be confused with the Ellery Queen Award ), is an American literary award for crime short stories . Sponsored by the publishing house Dell Publishing , it has been presented annually since 1985 at the Edgar Awards Banquet of the authors' association Mystery Writers of America (MWA). The choice of the best short story of the year is made by the readers of the crime magazine Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine . By far the most successful author was Doug Allyn with eleven awards.
