PN Elrod

Patricia Nead Elrod (* 1954 in Texas ; mostly PN Elrod ) is an American author of fantasy literature, mainly vampire novels .

PN Elrod has written more than 20 novels and as many short stories. She began her career as a writer in 1990 with the Vampire Files , a kind of vampire detective crime thriller, with the journalist Jack Fleming, who is murdered and wakes up as a vampire and goes in search of his murderer. A private detective helps him with this and also in finding his former girlfriend, with whom he exchanged his blood so that he could become a vampire after his death. The series, which now comprises 11 books, is set in Chicago in the 1930s.
