Martin Greenberg

Martin Harry Greenberg (born March 1, 1941 in Miami Beach , Florida , † June 25, 2011 in Green Bay , Wisconsin ) was an American anthologist and writer who mainly created anthologies on the subject of science fiction and fantasy .

Life

Martin Greenberg, born in Miami Beach in 1941, studied political science at the University of Miami , received his doctorate from the University of Connecticut in 1969 and taught at the University of Wisconsin in Green Bay from 1975 to 1996 .

The number of anthologies compiled by Greenberg is over 1000. Together with Tom Clancy , Greenberg wrote several novels in the Tom Clancy's Power Plays series . In 1995 he received the Ellery Queen Award for Lifetime Achievement. In 1991 and 1994 he received the Anthony Award for Synod Of Sleuths and The Fine Art Of Murder, respectively.

Greenberg died after a long illness in a hospice in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
