Real Federación Española De Automovilismo (RFE de A. also RFEdA for short) (German: Royal Spanish Automobile Association) is the supreme sports authority for automotive motorsport in Spain with its headquarters in Madrid .

RFEdA has the status of ASN (French: Authorité Sportive Nationale, holder of national sports sovereignty) at the FIA . As a sports authority is responsible for issuing driver's licenses for automotive and karting , approval of sporting events, the tender of championships and regulation of sporting and technical regulations and its sports law enforcement using the rules of the International Federation de l'Automobile in FIA World Council will be set in charge.
The sports authority is managed by the Presidium, which is supported by an executive committee with numerous committees to advise on technical issues. The current president is Carlos Gracia Fuertes , who is also Vice-President of the FIA .
Licenses
In Spain, the RFEdA issues licenses for drivers, co-drivers, sports attendants and instructors to participate in national sporting events of the association or the international events of the FIA.
Periodicals
A collection of the important provisions for officials and active members of the Documentación Oficiales is published annually. Current notifications are also published on the Internet homepage.
Awards
In 2005, RFE de A. was awarded the Bernie Ecclestone Prize, known as the ASN trophy , because the two Spanish Formula 1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Pedro de la Rosa were able to collect the most points together in the season.
