Rebecca O'Brien
Rebecca O'Brien (* 1957 in London ) is a British film producer.
She made her debut as a producer in 1986 with the production of the film Friendship's Death . In 1990 she co-produced the thriller Secret Protocol , which was directed by British director Ken Loach . This film marked the first collaboration between the two and resulted in Rebecca O'Brien producing almost all of Loach's films to this day. She was awarded the European Film Prize in 1995 for the film Land and Freedom . In total, her work encompasses nearly three dozen film and television productions.
In 2018 she was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
