Bright spot was a four-member German Schlager - girl group , the 2016 Kristina Bach was cast. She was under contract with Universal Music .
history
In autumn 2016, Kristina Bach invited 17 candidates to a casting in Cologne. The singers had previously applied to the record company for the project. Rebecca Schelhorn, Anna Hirschmann and Louiza Moorbeck were shortlisted. At a second casting a few weeks later, the group was completed by Lisa Aberer.
In Mallorca, the band shot the music video for their first single Thousand and One Nights . The band also presented the song in March 2018 at its TV premiere on the program Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel . On May 4, 2018, the band released their debut album Lichtblick and the music video for the second single Leuchten . In December 2018 Lichtblick took part in the charity project Schlagerstars for children from Schlagerplanet Radio and the SOS Children's Villages and recorded the song Auf once again. In May 2019 Lichtblick received the Schlagerplanet Award as Newcomer of the Year.
On November 21, 2019, the band announced the departure of Anna Hirschmann, who left the band for professional reasons.
On January 5, 2020, the band announced their breakup.
