Development history

Rebel Moon Rising is the sequel to Rebel Moon from 1995. Rebel Moon was only included as a bonus CD for the Creative Labs software "3D BLASTER PCI". In 1996 Bruce Bethke wrote a novel about Rebel Moon. A game series trilogy was planned with Rebel Moon Revolution as the third game title, but GT Interactive then rejected the development, whereupon the developer studio Fenris Wolf sued the publisher GT Interactive because of bad internal agreements. The shareware from Rebel Moon Rising was included in 1997 on the second CD-ROM from Eidos Interactive computer game Blood .

The game was announced for the PlayStation , but then not ported for the console.
