Red Ridge ( English for Red Ridge ) is a mountain ridge of striking reddish rock in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Gonville and Caius Range, it rises west of the Robson Glacier .
The ridge was given its descriptive name by the Australian geologist and polar explorer Frank Debenham , who carried out surveys here in 1912 during the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) under the direction of the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott .
