Redbridge Forest (officially: Redbridge Forest Football Club ) was an English football club from Redbridge, London Borough of Redbridge , Greater London, which last played in 1992 in the Football Conference , the fifth-highest division in England. The club's venue was the 6000-seat Victoria Road .
Club history
The club was formed in 1979 when Leytonstone FC and Ilford FC merged to form Leytonstone / Ilford FC . In the following ten seasons, the club took part in the league operation of the Isthmian League , 1981/82 and 1988/89, the championship of the Isthmian League was won. In 1988, Walthamstow Avenue joined Leytonstone / Ilford FC, followed a year later by the name of the club, which now took part in the game as Redbridge Forest . The 1989/90 season was finished in 11th place in the middle of the table, in the following season the team was able to earn a total of 93 points and won the championship of the Isthmian League and qualified for the Football Conference . With 63 points and a placement in seventh place, relegation was ensured without major problems. In 1992 Redbridge Forest merged with Dagenham FC to form the new club Dagenham & Redbridge .
